Capital city governor receives Ambassador Masato Takaoka

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Amarsaikhan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Masato Takaoka on November 7.


At the meeting, Ambassador Masato Takaoka said, “I am ever grateful that the relations and partnership between Japan and Mongolia is further developing. I believe that the decision to establish a concession agreement with Mongolian-Japanese joint company for the management of the new international airport of Ulaanbaatar will significantly contribute to the development of air transportation in Mongolia. The successful implementation of various projects on construction of hospitals and schools must also be mentioned. I am confident that the relations and partnership between the two countries will effectively develop in many sectors in the future. I want to note that there is not much air pollution this year.”

 

Governor S.Amarsaikhan said, “Ulaanbaatar has worked in partnership with the Japanese cities of Tokyo, Sapporo, and Miyakonojo for many years. Student exchange programs have been successfully implemented since 2014. I am grateful for the companies of Japan that are involved in the management and concession of the new airport. The city is focusing on reducing air pollution, and making the use of the new fuel the norm. 


At the end of the meeting, in recognition of his contribution to the development of the capital city, the Governor awarded Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Masato Takaoka with the Capital City 380th anniversary medal.
