National football team comes up with historic win over MyanmarSports
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 5, the national football team delighted home fans with a great match and a historic win at the Mongolian Football Federation Stadium in Ulaanbaatar.
Advancing to the top 40 national football teams of Asia, the Mongolian national football team faced off against their first match-up--the team of Myanmar in Group F (consisting of the teams of Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Myanmar and Mongolia) of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup Joint-Qualifiers second round, and has come out victorious with 1-0. The goal of the historic win was done by 18-year-old athlete A.Dulguun with the assist of A.Narmandakh.
The teams of Group F are currently ranked in FIFA rankings with Japan in 33, Kyrgyzstan in 95, Tajikistan in 119, Myanmar in 135 and Mongolia in 187. The next match for the national football team will take place against the team of Tajikistan at the Mongolian Football Federation Stadium on September 10.
