NEMA officials to attend training in ROKSociety
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. First Deputy Head of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Brigadier General G.Ariunbuyan received representatives led by Head of the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters on July 3.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the two countries, and measures to be taken to develop partnership.
The relations and cooperation between the disaster prevention sectors of two countries began developing with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between NEMA and the National Emergency Management Agency of ROK in 2006.
Since then, NEMA has been cooperating with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of ROK, Central Fire Service, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters and Fire Service Academy of Gyeonggi province, Korea Fire Institute and other corresponding organizations.
The sides signed an agreement on having 14 NEMA officials involved in a 14-day-training at the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters in September.
