Foreign Minister to attend the 75th Session of ESCAPSociety
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar will attend and chair the 75th Session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) which will be held from May 27 to May 31 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 75th Session of the Commission will be run under the theme ‘Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality’ and will discuss Sustainable Development Goals and its ambition 'leaving no one behind', especially, how to reduce income and occupational inequality in Asia and the Pacific.
The Foreign Minister will chair general assembly and the Special Body on Least Developed, Landlocked Developing and Pacific Island Developing Countries respectively besides attending the special event ‘Empowering women: Implementation of Goal 5 of Sustainable Development Goal in Asia and the Pacific’ initiated by Mongolia. Moreover, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar will have a meeting with the ESCAP Executive Secretary Ms. A.Alisjahbana to exchange views on cooperation issues.
