Mongolian para-archers compete in world ranking tournament in Dubai

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament - 2019  took place in Dubai, UAE on April 10-16. Over 200 athletes of 50 countries competed in the tournament.


Under the leadership of national para-archery team coach B.Zolboo, three athletes participated in the world ranking tournament. Despite ranking in the 5th place in the preliminary shooting with 1,136 points, B.Oyun-Erdene and A.Amarbayasgalan lost to the team of South Korea in the recurve mixed team matches. With the teams of Italy and Great Britain winning gold and silver medals respectively, the South Korean team won the bronze medal.


In the men’s recurve matches, A.Amarbayasgalan won his matches against athletes of Bhutan and Italy, but faced losses against the athletes of Japan and South Korea, finishing the tournament in 5th place. As for B.Oyun-Erdene, she lost against a South Korean athlete in the first round, losing her chance to continue on in the tournament. The next para-archery tournament is to take place in Tokyo, Japan in August.
