Memorandum of Cooperation on environment signed with Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism Ts.Batbayar worked as a part of the delegation for Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh’s official visit to Japan.

Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation on environment between two countries--Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia and Ministry of Environment of Japan. Deputy Minister Ts.Batbayar and Deputy Minister Minoru Kiuchi signed the memorandum, of which goals are to develop, support and enhance the partnership between the two sides in environmental protection and enhancement.


During the official visit, Deputy Minister Ts.Batbayar also held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart Minoru Kiuchi. Deputy Minister Ts.Batbayar expressed his satisfaction in the partnership and exchanged views on the consultative meeting on the environmental policies of the two countries, which will be held in Ulaanbaatar this December. The consultative meeting has been taking place regularly for 12 years.
