Mongolian Ambassador to the Holy See presents credentials to Pope Francis

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 17, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Holy See L.Purevsuren presented his credentials to Pope Francis and conveyed President Kh.Battulga’s greeting.
In conjunction with it, the Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, Secretary for Relations with States Richard Paul Gallagher and Assessor for General Affairs Paolo Borgia received Ambassador L.Purevsuren.
During the meetings, the sides agreed to resume the research work launched in 2000 on historical documents and sources related to the Mongolian Empire, which being kept in the Vatican Secret Archives and the Vatican Library as well as to seek opportunities of organizing historical and cultural exhibitions in cooperation with the Vatican Museum.
They also exchanged views on cooperation in intensifying mutual agreement in religious affairs at international level.
