Mongolian team wins 22 medals in Youth Draughts World Championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian young draughts players won 22 medals from the Youth Draughts World Championship 2017 organized from October 28 to November 5 in Dabki, Poland.  

In the competitions, Mongolia was represented by twenty-four draughts players and they collected 22 medals in total, six gold, nine silver and seven bronze medals.

In the U-17 category for boys, Ts. Chinzorig won a silver medal. G. Duurenbileg took the third place in girls’ U-17 category. As a result, G. Duurenbileg became a first-ever Mongolian draughts player that owns two medals from world championship because she had won a silver medal in 2013.    

In the U-11 category for boys, P. Erkhembileg grabbed a bronze medal. Moreover, B. Enkhriilen and B. Misheel took fourth and fifth places respectively in the U-13 category for girls.

In the blitz draughts, Mongolian team won one silver and two bronze medals. In Turkish draughts tournament, Mongolian team won six gold, seven silver and three bronze medals.
