Cooperation to broaden in Women’s Business Center project

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Enkhtor and South Korean delegates from the Office for Government Policy Coordination Prime Minister’s Secretariat and the KOICA have visited the Women’s Business Center (WBC), exchanging views on widening cooperation further in the WBC project.

The WBC is a three-year pilot project with funding of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and is being implemented by the Asian Foundation in cooperation with the Capital City Municipality, the Development Solutions NGO, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), the Golomt bank and the Golomt Securities LLC.

The project aims to increase the women's entrepreneurship contributions to the urban economy in Mongolia. The main impacts of this project are to promote gender equality, increase job creation, contribute to women economic empowerment, and support the Ulaanbaatar Economic Development Strategy, particularly the aim to create a better enabling environment for SMEs.

The WBC welcomes new and existing female business owners to avail of the center’s business, marketing, and select financial support services. In addition, the WBC offers comprehensive business services such as business information, regular business training, targeted consulting services including financial consulting and training, incubation, mentoring, networking events and workshops. These services will be provided through collaboration with a number of local partners. WBC clients have access to facilities, including computers, high-speed internet, and meeting and co-working space.
