Agriculture Minister assigns urgent actions for winter preparations

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry B. Batzorig called a meeting with heads of the Ministry’s Departments and relevant organizations on October 21.

The Minister said, “First of all, it needs to complete winter preparations. Winter preparations going at just 50 percent is very insufficient at the time that November is coming. It also requires urgent works to purchase hay and animal fodder from Russia.
Pressing issues will be resolved by collaborating with related ministries, government and non-government organizations, as well as businesses. Fulfillment of assignments has to be promptly reported,”
As of October 21, herdsmen have prepared 744.2 thousand tons of hay, 6,327.9 tons of soiling food, 6,747.0 tons of produced fodder, 28.6 thousand of hand-made fodder, 425.0 tons of silage, 38.7 thousand tons of salt have been prepared, with overall animal food preparations going at 53 per cent nationwide.
