Chef de Mission for Tokyo Olympics visits Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ First Deputy President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC) and Chef de Mission of Mongolia for for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games B.Battushig has paid a working visit to Japan.

In the scope of the visit, B.Battushig met with Yoshiro Mori, President of Organizing Committee for the Tokyo Olympic Games and Former Prime Minister to exchange views on the  bilateral cooperation between Mongolia and Japan and sport issues.

Yoshiro Mori underlined the patience and perseverance of Mongolian athletes, mentioning that Mongolian sumo wrestlers are dominating in the Japanese professional sumo and Mongolian judokas have shown brilliant success in international major competitions. Moreover, he said that Mongolian athletes could succeed in karate and taekwondo events in the forthcoming Olympics Games. The sides talked about organizing training for Mongolian and Japanese Paralympic athletes.

B.Battushig also met with Shunichi Suzuki, Japanese Minister in charge of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games and considered matters on preparation for the national Olympic teams and cooperation.
