25th Constitution Day to be marked

The 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Mongolia will be marked on January 13, 2017.

A draft of the democratic Constitution of Mongolia was published around the end of 1991, and went through two nationwide and 18 regional discussions. It also had been considered four times by the Lower House of the State Khural or the State Baga Khural.

Afterwards, the draft was analyzed by 430 deputies of the People’s Great Khural of the then-Republic of Mongolia for 76 days.

The People’s Great Khural has subsequently passed a Law on Constitution Day, which is observed on January 13 each year.

A commission to organize the celebration of the 25th jubilee of the Constitution of Mongolia has been formed by the Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold.
