Geoff Regan visits kindergarten in suburban area

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada, who is paying an official visit here at the invitation of the Chairman of the State Great Khural M.Enkhbold, visited “Children of the Sun” kindergarten at Ulaanchuluut of Songinokhairkhan district on Friday. There, the Canadian Speaker, Geoff Regan also attended a ceremony for signing a program agreement of Canada Fund for Local Initiatives.

“Children of the Sun” kindergarten takes in the children of families who live and make living at the Ulaanchuluut landfill. The kindergarten project, initiated by Canadian national Julie Waloo, has been selected by the Canada Fund and approved for financing of 2016-2017. The project also intends to establish a small tailoring shop to provide workplaces for their parents.
