Speaker M.Enkhbold delivers greetings to MONTSAME on 95th anniversary
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the historic 95th anniversary of our MONTSAME Agency, the Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament), Mr M.Enkhbold delivered a congratulatory message to the creative collective of the Mongolian National News Agency and the generations of staff that created the history of this agency on July 19.
It reads:
The day of the 95th anniversary reaffirms the priceless contributions of MONTSAME, where the outstanding and most excellent journalists, translators and creative staff work hand in hand, in compiling the chronicles of the history of our motherland, and celebrates the Agency’s status as the most reliable and prompt news source.
The historic event, when the agency first established with a name “Mongolian Telegraphic News Agency” (MONTA), reported to the whole world its first news “The Revolt of Mongolians” about the liberation of Altanbulag, which was the start of Mongolia’s fight for independence on March 18, 1921, was the cornerstone of today’s MONTSAME.
MONTSAME have been streaming prompt news on national and international developments and events on daily basis to the state and government authorities, Mongolian state bodies, media, press and the public. Today, the agency is performing its prestigious duty to report on and promote Mongolia’s foreign and domestic policies, events and developments within the country to the outside world.
I am fully convinced the MONTSAME will keep on delivering its honorable mission to spread factual news and reports at the high speed of the latest information technologies, and that the agency will remain the trusted partner of its national and global audience.
The State Great Khural reassures its support for just journalism with high professional ethics.
I would like to note MONTSAME duly faces a necessity to enhance quality of promoting the country abroad, utilizing all means for this.
