Mongolia and Vietnam want to enrich ties with economic content
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian Prime Minister J.Erdenebat and the Vietnamese Premier Nguyen Xuan Phuc held official talks at the State House of Mongolia in Wednesday afternoon. The talks completed with success under friendly atmosphere, noted the heads of governments of Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
At the beginning of the talks, Prime Minister J.Erdenebat congratulated his counterpart on being appointed a premier at the 12th National Assembly Session of the Vietnam Communist Party, which also set out the key development objectives of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the next 5 years, and honored him as the first high-rank guest to visit Mongolia out of all ASEM Summit participants.
Mr Nguyen Xuan Phuc appreciated Mongolia’s hosting of the 11th ASEM Summit, which according to him will bring Mongolia’s international prestige up to higher level, and invited his Mongolian counterpart to pay an official visit to Vietnam.
Vietnam’s side expressed interest to effectively realize the objectives of the cooperation MoU between the ministries of defense, to intensify actions of intergovernmental commissions, and to export white rice, vegetables, coffee and sugar to Mongolia, as well as to import meat and meat products from Mongolia, basing on the thoroughly agreed quarantine rules.
Moreover, Vietnam offered to cooperate in various sectors such as food, agriculture, education, culture, healthcare, tourism and sports, and also a help with the overhaul repair of the Choijin Lama Temple Museum and Bogdkhan’s Palace Museum of Ulaanbaatar.
Mongolian PM J.Erdenebat congratulated on Vietnam being the host of 2017 APEC Summit and said Mongoliia wants to attend as a guest. Mongolia-Vietnam relations are underway successfully on certain levels in culture, healthcare and tourism, however, they need to be enriched with more economic contents, noted the PM.
He mentioned that the two countries have greater possibility to cooperate in mining, especially, in coal and oil industries. In the margin of economic cooperation, we can establish joint investment factories of hides and leather, as the Ministry of Industry of Vietnam proposed.
According to the decision of the 15th meeting of the intergovernmental commission, agriculture ministries of Mongolia and Vietnam must attach greater attention to forwarding meat export to Vietnam from Mongolia, he noted.
J.Erdenebat PM expressed gratitude for receiving Mongolian students in Vietnam, and proposed student exchange for vocational training and education. He agreed with his counterparts offer to cooperate in cultural repair works.
The Mongolian PM considers it is suitable to consider journalism exchange, mutual translation works of literature and history, in order to deepen the cultural ties.
Present from Mongolian side were, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Purevsuren, Ambassador to Vietnam D.Enkhbat, Head of the Cabinet Secretariat S.Bayartsogt, Minister of Food and Agriculture R.Burmaa, Mining Minister R.Jigjid, chief adviser to Premier B.Nyamaa, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Kh.Gantsogt and other related officials.
