President of Myanmar to visit
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Htin Kyaw will visit Mongolia to take part in the 11th ASEM Summit to be held on July 13-16 in Ulaanbaatar, the Presidential Office of Myanmar reported.
This will be U Htin Kyaw's reciprocal visit to that of his Mongolian counterpart Ts.Elbegdorj to Myanmar paid last month.
During the visit to Myanmar, Elbegdorj held talks with U Htin Kyaw on boosting bilateral relations and cooperation and friendship between the two countries through cultural exchanges. A memorandum of understanding on cultural cooperation was signed.
The Mongolian President also met with State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi and a Mongolia-Myanmar Business Council was then launched.
The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1956.
