Almost 50 athletes qualified for Summer Olympics and Paralympics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of today, 49 athletes of the Mongolian national teams have been qualified for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics and Paralympics.

The team of judocas has captured 13 quotas, freestyle wrestling--nine quotas, boxing--six quotas, athletics--four quotas, shooting--three quotas, swimming--two quotas, weightlifting, archery and taekwondo--one quota each. Moreover, nine athletes will compete in Paralympics’ archery and shooting events.

Three Mongolians have been included in the judges’ panels, and a farewell ceremony for the Olympic athletes will be organized on July 20.
