Minister of Health and Sports S.Lambaa was assigned to select construction work executor and commission the building within 2017.
The Western region diagnostic and treatment operated since in 2012, accommodates in the 1974 building of Khovd province’s central hospital so far. Each year, this medical center receives roughly 130 thousand patients for diagnosis and check-up, 1,800 mothers for child delivery, and 12-13 thousand persons for inpatient treatments.
The old building is failing meeting the ever-growing demand and occupancy, due to outdated electric, heat and water systems.
Installation of equipment from Belgium will take place in the first quarter of 2017, so the new buildings should be commissioned before this.
