Khan Bank named as “Most active issuing bank” in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ One of the biggest commercial banks in Mongolia, the Khan Bank informed Wednesday that it has been named as the “Most Active Issuing Bank” in Mongolia by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the framework of its Trade Facilitation Program.

The bank receives this honor for the sixth year for its outstanding performance in 2015.

Khan Bank continuously strives to meet its customers’ ever-changing international trade needs by offering services of commonly used trade finance instruments and structures, such as letters of credit, bank guarantees, and collection, in accordance with international rules and standards. The bank also makes comprehensive trade financing solutions available to our customers through trade funds mobilized from the international market with favorable terms and conditions.

Khan Bank joined EBRD’s Trade Facilitation Program in 2007, and works in close cooperation with 800 international financial institutions, having established credit lines of around 300 million USD which are available to our customers for their trade finance needs.

EBRD collaborates with Khan Bank on import and export financing encompassing all the different stages of financing needs, while providing advisory services on preparing certified trade finance specialists endorsed by the International Chamber of Commerce, and providing training to Khan Bank’s employees and clients covering various topics on international rules and policies of trade finance.
