Quarter One sees more than 200 million USD decrease in trade turnover
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first quarter of 2016, Mongolia traded with 115 countries and the total external trade turnover reached USD 1558.0 million, of which USD 959.0 million was from exports and USD 599.1 mln.US dollars -- from imports.
Total external trade turnover decreased by USD 221.4 million dollars, or 12.4 percent, in specific, exports -- by 118.8 million USD or 11.0 percent, and imports -* by 102.7 million USD or 14.6 percent.
External trade balance showed a surplus of 376.0 mln.US dollars in the first quarter of 2015. The surplus went down to USD 359.9 million in the first quarter of 2016.
