Parliament autumn session ends
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Autumn session of the State Great Khural (parliament) continued for 90 days and closed this Friday, after considering and adopting 412 legal documents and 65 regulations. An irregular session has approved the Law on Amnesty, by which 1,353 sentenced were pardoned.
Law on Election, renewed Criminal Code, and the Law on Violations were adopted. With the adopting of Economic Tranparency Law, shadow economies have been revealed, and many companies and individuals have come out to the light.
On January 19, some amendments were made to Civil Code and the Law on Immovable Properties, noted the Speaker in his closing speech. Thanks to it, 379 creditors have gotten the mortgage loans of 23.7 billion MNT before the Tsagaan Sar, he said.
Accordingly, parliament gave direction to the cabinet to cut interest rate of herders’ loan to 10 percent.
