Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Embassy of Mongolia in Australia and the Country Women’s Association of NSW will jointly organize a seminar dedicated to Mongolia on 30th of January 2016 in Canberra. Over 300 members of the Association have registered for the event.

The Country Women’s Association of Australia (CWAA) was established in 1922 with the aim to improve the conditions for women and children and make life better for families, especially those living in regional, rural and remote Australia. So far, it has over 20,000 members in over 1,200 branches around Australia.

Every year, the NSW branch chooses a specific country to study and promote. This year it is Mongolia. In recent two years, the branch studied Botswana and Italy; and it collaborated with their Embassies.

The seminar will give an opportunity to the Australian women to learn Mongolia, especially its society as well as women and children within it. The event will make an important contribution towards sharing of experiences.

The Embassy and the NSW branch are working towards distributing a handbook about Mongolia to the seminar participants. Representatives of the Embassy, as well as the Mongolia Institute of ANU will have presentations, and talented Mongolians, who live in Australia, will give a cultural performance.
