Mongolia to host Polo tournament among servicemen
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Defense Ts.Tsolmon and the Ambassador of the UK to Mongolia Ms Catherine Arnold met December 3 to discuss the defense cooperation between the two countries.
The Mongolia-UK defense cooperation dates back to 1999, the Minister noted and emphasized an importance and outstanding results of “Peacekeeping English” project.
Ms Arnold thanked the Minister for his time and informed him that two military personnel at the UK Embassy in Beijing are handling cooperation with Mongolia. She hopes that a military attaché office will be created at the UK Embassy in UB soon.
She said the United Kingdom applauds Mongolia’s efforts in the international peacekeeping operations, and that the defense cooperation is consisting of organizing joint exhibitions and participation in the "Khaan Quest" military exercises.
Ts.Tsolmon and the Ambassador agreed to organize the Polo tournament among Mongolian and British servicemen in September of 2016. Accordingly, the British polo trainers will arrive in Mongolia to help with the tournament preparation.
