法学等、卓越した学術研究を奨励「チメド賞」、初の女性学士に授与
　国会は、法学に関する学術上特に優れた論文、著書その他の研究業績に対して奨励を目的に「チメド賞」を設けて受賞を毎年の新憲法制定記念日の13日に行っている。今年は、第5回目の授賞式となる。法学会で最も権威ある同賞は、今年は、ハヤンヒャルワー・セレンゲ・モンゴル国立大学法学部教授（公法）へ贈られた。初の女性学士による受賞となった。

　チャイルドファンド・ジャパンは、ウブルハンガイ県で2番目のプロジェクト実施を開始した。　日本外務省の資金で、「モンゴルの子どもたちに教育の機会均等を促進するための原則を支持」というプロジェクトが、2018年4月～2021年まで実施される。

日本人会臨時総会＆忘年会に180人参加
　12月1日、ホリデーインホテルにおいて、2018年度在モンゴル日本人会の臨時総会＆ 忘年会が、約180人の参加で催された。1部の総会では、原田会長が活動報告を行い、会則の一部変更では、日本人会を今後NGO登録して活動することで、会員の満場一致で承認を得た。

　12月1、2日、東京・上智大学で行われた仲裁・交渉を巡る第17回の大学対抗戦「インターカレッジ・ネゴシエーション・コンペティション」において、モンゴル国立大学法学部と同学部名古屋大学日本法教育研究センターの学生から構成されたモンゴルの代表2チームが、名門の東北大学、明治大学、一橋大学などの有力校を抑え、第7位で入賞した。
