Snowfall expected in some parts of the country

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The National Agency of Meteorology and Environment has reported that snowfall is expected in some parts of the country today on December 1, with cold temperatures in most parts of the country.
At the end of last week, temperatures dropped by 10-17 degrees in most parts of the country, with night-time temperatures reaching -33 to -38 in the depression of Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river, in the basin of Ider, and near Khurenbelchir.
Snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas of Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei on December 2 and 3, and in the northern region on December 5.
Wind speed will be 6-11 m/sec during most of the time until November 29.
In the depression of Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river, and near Khurenbelchir, the temperature will range from -35 to -40 degrees Celsius during the night, and -20 to -25 during the day.
In the mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, and in the basins of Ider, Tes, Tuul, Terelj, and Kherlen rivers, the temperature will be -28 to -33 during the night, and -17 to -22 during the day.
In the western parts of the Gobi region, the night-time temperature will be -15 to -20 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be -6 to -11 degrees Celsius
In other areas, temperatures are expected to be -21 to -26 during the night, and -12 to -17 during the day.
