Nationwide election attendance - 16.8 percent
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 14.00, the General Election Committee of Mongolia made a press briefing on the polling progress of the elections of soum and district citizens' representatives khurals (self-governing bodies). As of 12.00, the voter turnout in Ulaanbaatar reached 12.9 percent, whereas in provinces, it reached 19.8 percent.
The nationwide voter turnout amounts to 16.8 percent, which is a poor attendance, commented the GEC Chairman Ch.Sodnomtseren.
