Ulaanbaatar, November 6, 2023 /MONTSAME/. On November 2, 2023, Kh. Nyambaatar, Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, met with Shen Minjuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia, to discuss potential areas of collaboration.

At the Meeting, Mayor Nyambaatar highlighted the ongoing joint projects between Mongolia and China in Ulaanbaatar, including the construction of a road tunnel under the Ulaanbaatar railway and the improvement of the surroundings of the Tuul and Selbe rivers. He expressed commitment to continuing and expanding cooperation with Beijing, Chongqing, and Tianjin, building upon the foundation established by previous administrations. Mayor Nyambaatar also conveyed Ulaanbaatar's readiness to collaborate with China on constructing comfortable apartments in the Ger Districts and alleviating traffic congestion through the construction of a metro and a ring road.

Ambassador Shen Minjuan said, "China has garnered substantial experience in mitigating air pollution, constructing subways and ring roads, and implementing comprehensive urban planning strategies. We are therefore delighted to share our expertise and collaborate with Mongolia in these areas at both the State and city levels. I am confident that further cooperation will yield positive and fruitful outcomes."
