Result of presidential election not yet finalized
Polling of the 2017 presidential election ended at the same time at 10pm on national level. According to the preliminary vote counting, Democratic Party’s candidate Battulga Khaltmaa is leading with about 511,826 votes, followed by S.Ganbaatar (MPRP) with 406,724 and M.Enkhbold (MPP) with 404,852 votes.

Heads of state and government cast their ballots
Mongolia’s President, Prime Minister and Parliament Speaker cast their votes today in their respective polling places assigned to them according to their residential address. Particularly, President Ts.Elbegdorj cast his ballot at the 1851st polling station in Sukhbaatar district, Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold at the 1937th station in Chingeltei district and Prime Minister at the 1731st station in Bayanzurkh district of Ulaanbaatar.

117 election observers from 36 countries registered to GEC
As of today June 23, 117 foreign observers from 36 countries have been registered to the General Election Commission for the Presidential Election, which will take place on June 26. The observers’ number may grow as the registration will continue until the election date. Year by year, a number of  foreign observers is increasing.

17th Roaring Hooves festival opens
The opening ceremony of the 17th ‘Roaring Hooves’ international music festival of contemporary music and folk was held today in Gandantegchenling Monastery. The festival was named ‘one of the 50 most unbelievable trips in the world. This year,  the Gandantegchenling monastery is cooperating with the organizers of the event to promote Buddhist traditions and cultural heritages in Mongolia.

G.Ariunbaatar wins Song Prize Trophy of BBC Cardiff Singer of The World
