Mongolians lead at the East Asian Youth Chess Championship

Mongolian young chess players ranked in the first place in the East Asian Youth Chess Championship 2017 held on June 17-26 in Ulaanbaatar.
The tournament was organized in three categories of rapid, blitz and standard and was attended by 452 chess players from Japan, South Korea, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The Mongolian team won 21 gold, 20 silver and 25 bronze medals from the competition.
Mongolian Chess Federation, Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Department of Physical Culture and Sports co-organized the Championship with Altan Joloo Group of Mongolia sponsored.
