Yak Festival anticipated in Umnugobi aimag
An annual Yak festival is expected on May 27 at the Gurvan saikhan Mountain in Umnugobi aimag. The event has been organized since 2012 by the Governor’s office of Umnugobi aimag, Administration Office of Gobi Gurvan saikhan National Park and Governor’s Offices of soums, which have yaks.

Gobi bear gives birth to twin cubs in Gobi Altai
Gobi bears, known as Mazaalai in Mongolia, are found in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia and is listed as endangered by Mongolian Redbook of Endangered Species. Only a small population or around 20-40 Gobi Bears are thought to currently survive in the Great Gobi Strictly Protected Area.

Inauguration ceremony of ‘War Horses’ monument in Moscow held
