Boxers to fight for Olympic quotas in Azerbaijan
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Boxers of the national team headed for Azerbaijan on Friday to compete in the AIBA World Olympic qualifying tournament to be held on June 16-25 in Baku.
The Mongolian team included Kh.Enkh-Amar (men’s 52 kg), E.Tsendbaatar (56 kg), N.Shinebayar (75 kg) and S.Erdenebayar (81 kg) and coaches by D.Batsuren and B.Erdenebaatar. The official group comprised E.Badar-Uugan, vice president of the Mongolian Olympic Boxing Federation (MOBF).
First five place holders at the tournament will be awarded with the Olympic quotas. As of today, four boxers have been qualified for the Olympics to compete in men’s -49, -60, -64 and -69 kg bouts.
