Australia Marks 101st Anniversary of Republic and First Constitution of Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, November 27, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Embassy of Mongolia in the Commonwealth of Australia hosted a reception on November 26, 2025, to commemorate the 101st anniversary of the Proclamation of the Mongolian People’s Republic and the adoption of its first Constitution.


In his opening remarks, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Australia, Davaasuren Damdinsuren, emphasized the historical significance of these milestones in Mongolia’s statehood. The evening program featured a traditional art performance, video presentations showcasing Mongolia’s rich cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and modern achievements, and guests enjoyed authentic Mongolian cuisine.


The celebration drew more than 200 attendees, reflecting Australia’s active engagement. Members of the Australian Parliament, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, leaders of national organizations such as the International Federation of Women in Australia, and Australians who value Mongolia’s culture and heritage attended Mongolian community leaders from Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, as well as foreign diplomats, underscoring the friendship and cultural ties between the two countries.
