'Khuvitai Khun' Brings Greek Non-Fiction Literature to Mongolian Readers

Ulaanbaatar, November 27, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian Writers’ Union organized a presentation of the book “Khuvitai Khun” authored by Greek writer, statesman, and President of European Profiles S.A., Dr. Dimitris Bakolas. The non-fiction work recounts the extraordinary life journey of Dr. Bakolas, whom many regard as a modern-day Odysseus.


The first part of the book, “Following Destiny,” was selected in 2023 as one of the best non-fiction books in Greece. Its Mongolian translation was published in Ulaanbaatar in 2024 and was warmly received by local readers. The second book by Dr. Bakolas was translated into Mongolian this year and was named the Best Foreign Non-Fiction Book, earning the Laureate Award of the Mongolian Writers’ Union.


The presentation brought together Deputy Chairman of the Mongolian Writers’ Union O. Enkhjavkhlan, Secretary of the Union Ch. Erdenechimeg, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Guardians of Mongolian History T. Chagataihan, SUIS Prorector Dr. J. Erkhemtugs, EAI–SUIS Coordinator B. Erdenetsestseg, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Head of the International Relations Department of AGMH B. Aldarmaa, as well as the Honorary Guest of the event, People’s Artist of Mongolia and khuumii performer G. Mendbayar.


Dr. Bakolas noted that he fell in love with Mongolia during his first visit, expressing admiration for the country’s rich folk traditions, cultural heritage, and natural beauty. He highlighted that his company continues to invest in Mongolia’s economic sector.


Participants in the event wished Dr. Dimitris Bakolas continued creative success.
