Mongolia celebrates Day of Mothers and Children for 63rd year
视频Mongolia widely celebrated the International Day for Protection of Children’s Rights. Every year, Chinggis square turns a venue for major events of the celebration.
This year the Day of Mothers and Children were organized under the motto “The future of Friendly Ulaanbaatar starts from our children”. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg, Prime Minister of Mongolia and Mr E.Bat-Uul, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city. Mr Saikhanbileg informed the gathered about state policy on children’s rights. In order to resolve some urgent issues related to development of mother and children and their protection, the State Great Khural has adopted the Law on the Rights of Children, Law on protection of Children, Law on Babysitting, Law on combating domestic violence. As a result, children can grow up in healthier and safer environment. On the other hand, it will create a favorable legal environment for parents and babysitters to find a job and to increase their revenue as well as tangible results are expected in combating domestic violence.
