Ulaanbaatar, October 8, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, Khishgee Nyambaatar, held a meeting with the governors of all nine districts of the Capital city to discuss next year’s district budgets, investment priorities, and development projects.

A performance report on the first nine months of this year’s district investment budgets showed that Sukhbaatar District achieved 88.6 percent implementation, Bayangol 80.6 percent, Bayanzurkh 91.4 percent, Chingeltei 91.7 percent, Khan-Uul 81.7 percent, Songinokhairkhan 79.7 percent, Nalaikh 100 percent, Baganuur 97 percent, and Bagakhangai 100 percent.

Mayor Nyambaatar underscored the need to move away from traditional, overly optimistic budget planning practices. “Next year’s investment plan should be realistic. We need to ensure consistent standards when constructing pedestrian roads and public spaces to deliver tangible results,” he said. He also emphasized close coordination with the land acquisition fund to accelerate land clearance, expand green areas, and promote housing projects in ger areas.

During the meeting, district governors also discussed pressing local issues and presented their project plans for the upcoming fiscal year.
