events for the week of October 6-12, 2025.
Events in Ulaanbaatar:
October 6: Meetings of parliamentary party caucuses
will convene.
October 6: “Our Water – Our Future” public event
will take place at Ulaanbaatar Park.
October 6: The Ninth International Student
Conference “Historical Science and History Education in the XXI century”
will be held at the Mongolian National University of Education
October 6: The film concert “Ardyn Duu Minu III”
dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Theater of National Art will premiere
on the theater’s main stage.
October 6: A new 1.5-km road connecting the
Narny Road with the Janjin Club will open in Khoroo 37, Bayanzurkh district.
October 6: In connection with the commencement
of semi-coke briquette sales starting today, officials will provide a briefing
at the Tavantolgoi Fuel Plant in Nalaikh.
October 7: World Cotton Day will be observed.
October 7: A press conference will be held to
present the October 2025 edition of the World Bank’s “East Asia and Pacific
Economic Update” report.
October 7: The sketch exhibition “Beautiful Four Seasons” by artist and member of the Union of Mongolian Artists, D. Taivanjargal, will open at the Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts.
October 7-8: Standing Committees of the State
Great Khural will convene.
October 8: The Cabinet meeting will
be held at the State Palace of Mongolia.
October 8: “The Origin and Development of
Mongolian Photography – 90 Years” International Academic Conference will be
organized.
October 8-15: The “Ulaanbaatar” International Film Festival, organized by the Mongolian Arts Council, will be held for the 17th time.
October 9: The Mongolian National Film Council,
together with the Mongolian Arts Council, will co-organize the “Mongolian Film
Projects” competition during the “Ulaanbaatar” International Film Festival.
October 9: The commemorative conference
marking the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Photography Department
in Mongolia will be held at the Chinggis Khaan
National Museum.
October 9: The “Advanced Research Results - 2025” academic
conference will be held at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.
October 9: World Migratory Bird Day will be observed.
October 10: The regular Journalism Ethics Forum
(JEF2025) of the Media Council of Mongolia will be held at Millennium Plaza.
October 10: Photojournalist M. Lkhagvasuren
will open his photography exhibition “Truth” at the
National Museum of History.
October 10: Artists of the Mongolian State Opera
and Ballet Academic Theater will perform P. I. Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” ballet
on stage.
October 11: National Tree Planting Days will be observed.
October 11: International Days of the Girl Child
will be observed.
October 11: An amendment has been made to the
“List of Historic Anniversaries and Commemorative Days” to designate October 11
each year as National Film Art Day.
- The Autumn Tree Planting Days will
continue until October 26, 2025.
- With the support of the Office of
the President of Mongolia, the Ecological Police Department, state and non-governmental
organizations engaged in tree nursery activities, and the public, the
nationwide “Golden
Autumn – Let’s Care for the Trees We Planted” awareness campaign is
ongoing.
-The exhibition “Mongolian Paintings Depicting Bogd Khuree City” (17th-early 20th century), organized by Mongol Art Gallery in collaboration with Gandantegchinlen Monastery, will be re-displayed at the Battsagaan Tsogchen Hall of Gandantegchinlen Monastery until October 8, 2025.
-The “Trust Campaign” organized by
the General Department of Social Insurance will continue until October 15,
2025.
-The Ministry of Food, Agriculture,
and Light Industry will conduct the “Monitoring Imported Food Trade” nationwide
campaign until November 1, 2025.
-The nationwide “Cultural Spaces -
Our Environment” campaign will continue until November 3, 2025.
-Registration for the 2025 Winter
Admission Examinations will close on November 14, 2025.
Local Events:
October 6-7: Within the framework of the Government of Mongolia’s Regional Development Support Policy and the Year of Supporting Employment for Persons with Disabilities, the Western Region Advisory and Information Event will be held in Bayan-Ulgii aimag.
October 8-9: the Eastern Region Responsible Mining
Forum will be held in Khentii aimag.
The autumn “National Tree Planting
Day” activities will continue until October 25, 2025, across all aimags.
Events Abroad:
October 10-20: The “Mongol Khan” play will be performed in Tokyo, Japan.
