Bhutan Expresses Request to Study Mongolia's E-Governance Experiences

Ulaanbaatar, August 7, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications of Mongolia Batshugar Enkhbayar received the Members of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Bhutan on August 7, 2025.
Mongolia and the Kingdom of Bhutan established diplomatic relations in 2012. During the State Visit of King of Bhutan His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck to Mongolia in 2024, the two sides agreed to enrich their friendly relations by aligning mutual strengths and resources with economic cooperation.
At the meeting, Minister Batshugar Enkhbayar presented the technological advancements and tangible public benefits of “E-Mongolia” and “E-Business” systems, highlighting that Mongolia was ranked in the “Very High” category in the UN E-Government Development Index and had advanced 28 places over the past two years.
As the Members of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Bhutan expressed their interest in studying the successful implementation of digital public services in Mongolia, the two sides exchanged views on the possibility of implementing joint projects and programs.
