Morin Khuur Exhibition Opens in the Kyrgyz Republic

Ulaanbaatar, July 22, 2025 /MONTSAME/. As part of the State Visit of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to the Kyrgyz Republic, the “Beautiful Country of Mongolia” Morin Khuur Exhibition opened in Bishkek.
During the foreign State Visits of the Head of State of Mongolia, performances by the Morin Khuur Ensemble and the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia are being organized alongside exhibitions showcasing the finest works of morin khuur craftsmanship. This initiative plays a vital role in promoting the Morin khuur, recognized as an element of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage and a symbol of the historical memory, spirit, and aspirations of the Mongol people, to the international community.
Under the Decree on “Honoring and Promoting the Morin Khuur” issued by President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the Morin khuur craft sector has been rapidly developing. Additionally, “World Horse Day” was celebrated globally for the first time on July 11, 2025.
