IM Tsetsentsengel wins gold at Abu Dhabi Grand Slam

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A Mongolian judoka O.Tsetsentsengel
claimed the gold medal at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam, which took place in the capital city
of the United Arab Emirates between November 26-28.
O.Tsetsentsengel, who wrestled in the men's +100 kg weight
class, won his first gold medal by defeating Grand Slam’s silver and bronze
medalist Vladut Simionescu of Romania. As a result, his world ranking raised by
1,000 points to the top 20.
Another Mongolian judoka A.Adiyasuren, who competed in the
women’s +78kg, was defeated by the world champion Coralie Hayme of France in
the match for bronze medal, and won the fifth place.
In the Grand Slam 2021, the Mongolian judokas’ team won 2 gold
and 3 bronze medals, taking the 3rd place among 41 countries.
