Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian National Olympic Committee has recently introduced the ‘Mongolia House’ application that was specifically developed for the Tokyo Olympics.

Based on AR, the application was created with the aims of introducing the national team of athletes competing at the Tokyo Olympics as well as promoting the traditional culture and heritage of Mongolia in digital format.

Countries competing at the Olympic Games have a “tradition” of setting up their own hospitality houses in aims of promoting their country and culture. Preparations for setting up the ‘Mongolia House’ were also underway for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, with plans to have it located under the Tokyo Tower. However, as it was decided to organize the Olympic Games under various restrictions due to the pandemic situation, Mongolia initiated the idea to keep the tradition going in a digital format, developing the application in partnership with Argun Group LLC.

Alongside being able to view the introductions of the national team of athletes competing at the Olympics, users will be able to watch various types of content introducing the traditional culture of Mongolia as well as to experience a tour of the ger of Mongolian-born sumo athlete, Yokozuna (Grand Champion) Hakuho M.Davaajargal.

With Mongolian, English, and Japanese as language options, the application is available for download on iOS and Android systems.
