Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At
the initiative of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the
Speaker of Parliament G.Zandanshatar held a meeting with businessmen on January
11, exchanging views on timely issues and economic development of the country.
During
the meeting, MNCCI introduced its proposals to intensify economy and develop
based on system dynamics model and ran a discussion. Erdenes Silver Resource
LLC provided a presentation themed ‘Benefits of Salhit silver deposit’.
Within
the MNCCI’s framework of action to formulate a development plan of knowledge
economy, system dynamics models of 21 aimags were created and the impact of
Salkhit silver deposit on socioeconomy of Dundgobi aimag was assessed.
MNCCI chief T.Duuren said, “During the past 30 years, there have been 15
elections and reshuffles of 18 cabinets. As a result, the political instability
arises, which consequently affects the country’s economy. In the future, if it
is still the same, GDP will grow by USD13 by 2025, and it is likely to be
increased by USD30 billion according to the model we propose. We are proposing private
sector-based, in particular development model with a clear leadership. By doing
so, it will create an equal participation of private sector that provides 1.3 million jobs, instead of benefiting the growth to only few groups.”
In the
conclusion of the meeting, MNCCI President O.Amartuvshin submitted the
proposals to implement the model that reflect the voice of entrepreneurs to the
Speaker G.Zandanshatar who expressed commitment to study the proposals and make
them real work.
