Augmenting export to Sweden and Canada discussed with newly-appointed ambassadors

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Matters on broadening the commercial and business ties and augmenting the export with Sweden and Canada were discussed at the meeting of Ms. M.Oyunchimeg, CEO of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), with O.Enkhtsetseg, Ambassador-Designate of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Sweden and Ya.Ariunbold, Ambassador-Designate of Mongolia to Canada, on August 26.

Present at the meeting were B.Munkh-Orgil, Head of the MNCCI Division of External Relations, Trade and Investment and Ch.Gunjdagva, Head of the Mongolian International and National Arbitration Center (MINAC).

The MINAC has set up its branch in all provinces of Mongolia as a result of a project on empowering arbitration implemented by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency /SIDA/ from 2003 to 2005, Ch.Gunjdagva said, and added the MINAC wants to get involved in such fruitful project.

According to statistical data, over 6,000 Mongolian citizens are living in Sweden, thus they discussed possibilities to organize business forums and international exhibitions in order to promote Mongolia-made goods and to increase business potentials for Mongolians.

The Mongolia-Canada partnership cooperation well developed in several spheres, especially in the mining industry. For the time being, Mongolia has great opportunities to export ecological fresh products to Canada and to develop technologies for processing agricultural goods. Ms. Oyunchimeg emphasized the role of the Embassies in a development of the business ties through the MNCCI.

The Ambassadors asked the MNCCI leaders to provide Mongolian Embassies with information and research on Mongolian companies, and then concurred to widen potentials for domestic enterprises to take part in international events, business forums and exhibitions.

At the end of the meeting, MNCCI CEO Ms. Oyunchimeg handed over the 'Mongolian Exporters-2018' E-catalogue which contains all information about an opportunity for exporters to access new markets, promoting new products and services, support for widening the market and networking with foreign partners.
