Children basketball teams captured four medals in Ulan-Ude

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian Basketball team players won three medals at the International Basketball Tournament organized in Ulan-Ude, the Russian Federation on December 21-24.
In the tournament, 5 teams consisting of 60 young basketball players from Mongolia competed in two age categories, U11 and U12. The Mongolian U12 team coached by D.Otgonbaatar and Ts.Vanchigsuren and U11 team, coached by B.Purevsuren and Altankhuyag won gold medals. Whereas, the Mongolian second team of U12 captured silver medal and U11 grabbed a bronze medal.
Participated for the first time, Mongolian U12 female team coached by Gerelt-Od managed to become the Champion by winning all the matches.
Secretary of the Mongolian National Basketball Association S.Tulga attended the closing ceremony and presented the prizes to Mongolian teams. The Mongolian National Basketball Association and Basketball Board in Siberian region and the Ulan-Ude Basketball Association established a cooperation agreement to organize international basketball tournaments four to six times all year around in three age categories including U10, U12 and U14.
Chita, Bratsk and Krasnoyarsk cities invited Mongolian team to participate in tournaments and share experiences as well.
