Bust monument erected in memory of Issa Alexandrovich Pliyev
视频A ceremony to unveil bust monument of Issa Alexandrovich Pliyev, Hero of Mongolian People’s Republic was held on November 15 at the northeast side of Zaisan Valley, located Khan-Uul district of Ulaanbaatar
Present at the ceremony were Mr N.Enkhbold, Minister of Defense, Mr S.Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, Mr Rakshaev Rygzyn, Consul General of the Russian Embassy in Mongolia and other officials.
Issa Alexandrovich Pliyev came to Mongolia in May, 1936 to work as an advisor at the Military School in Ulaanbaatar.
At the end of World War II or during the Liberation war, I.A.Pliyev commanded Soviet –Mongolian Cavalry-Mechanized Group.
Army general I.A.Pliyev was awarded twice the title of Hero of the Soviet Union in recognition of his commanding skills and heroic deeds. Moreover, he was awarded the title of Hero of Mongolian People’s Republic.
