Moody's changes Mongolia's outlook to stable from negative; affirms B3 rating
On March 16, 2021, Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has changed the outlook on the Government of Mongolia's issuer ratings to stable from negative and affirmed the long-term B3 issuer and foreign currency senior unsecured bond ratings and the (P)B3 senior unsecured MTN program rating.

Savings in domestic currency rise by 26.5 percent from last year
The national currency in circulation reached MNT 1.0 trillion at the end of February 2021, increased by MNT 19.3 billion (1.9%) from the previous month, and increased by MNT 59.5 billion (6.2%) from the same period of the previous year.

Passengers of air transportation decreased by 92.0 percent
In the first two months of 2021, 5.2 million tonnes of freight were carried by railway transport and increased by 436.6 thousand tonnes (9.2%) compared to the same period of previous year.

In February 2021, 177.8 million pieces of securities worth of MNT 41.9 billion were traded at the national stock market, with an increase of MNT 35.7 billion (6.8 times more) and 139.5 million pieces of securities (4.6 times more) compared to the same period of previous year.

Total foreign trade turnover grows by 48.4 percent in the first two months
 In the first two months of 2021, Mongolia traded with 112 countries from all over the world, and the total trade turnover reached USD 2.3 billion, of which USD 1.3 billion were exports and USD 922.3 million were imports.

Total expenditure increased by MNT171.3 billion in February this year
According to the preliminary results in the first two months of 2021, the total revenue of the general government budget was MNT 1.7 trillion. The equilibrated revenue of the general government budget was MNT 1.6 trillion and 94.6% of the total revenue of general government budget.
