Draughts players win medals in Youth World Championships
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Young players successfully took part in the Youth World Championships for 10x10 Draughts held November 1-8 in Beilen, the Netherlands.
Mongolia was represented at the World Championships by 23 players, and the team has grabbed one silver and one bronze medals.
A player from Dornogobi aimag E.Khuslen won a silver medal in the girls’ blitz game of 8-10 year-old age category. She collected 13 points after nine games.
B.Monkhjin won a bronze medal in the boys’ junior division, with 12 points, and satisfied a condition for gaining the title of FMJD master. Players of the Netherlands and Belarus grabbed gold and silver medals in this category.
