Mongolian Basketball Team “Xac Broncos” Advances to Basketball Champions Asia Quarterfinals

Ulaanbaatar, June 10, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Nine-time champions of "the League," “Khasyn Khuleguud,” globally known as the “Xac Broncos,” are competing in the 2025 Basketball Champions League Asia.
The "Khasyn Khuleguud" won a preliminary game against China and were defeated by the Iranian League Champions with a final score of 76:78. With one win and one loss, the "Xac Broncos" secured a spot in the quarterfinals. The elite eight are league champions from Mongolia, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of the Philippines, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, and Taiwan. The knockout stage is set to begin tomorrow.
The "Xac Broncos" will play
against the Philippine League Champion “Meralco Bolts” on June 11, 2025. If they
win, they will play against the winner of the matchup between the Japanese Champion
“Utsunomiya Brex” and the Iranian Champion “Tabiat” in the semifinals.
Out of the nine teams competing in the 2025 Basketball Champions League Asia, South Korea’s “LG Sakers” have been eliminated, while the remaining eight teams have advanced to the knockout stage. The losing teams from the quarterfinals will head home, while the four semifinalists will earn the right to compete for the medals.
