State Secretary Pietro Parolin Pays Courtesy Call on President Khurelsukh

Ulaanbaatar, December 5, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The State Visit of President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, to the Holy See is ongoing.
During the visit, the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, paid a courtesy call on President Khurelsukh.
At the meeting, the President noted that the increasing frequency of high-level reciprocal visits is creating favorable conditions for expanding bilateral cooperation in many sectors.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding
cooperation in culture, education, and science, in particular, continuing
collaboration to present centuries-old ties between the two countries to the
public by bringing historical documents and materials related to Mongolia being
preserved in the Vatican Apostolic Archives into scholarly circulation.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin recalled his participation in Pope Francis’s 2023 State Visit to Mongolia and expressed his willingness to further advance cooperation between the two countries.
