Professor Battulga of NUM Receives Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation

Ulaanbaatar, October 24, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The ceremony to present the 2025 Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Professor Battulga Sukhee of the Department of Asian Studies, Faculty of Humanities, School of Arts and Sciences at the National University of Mongolia (NUM), was held on October 23, 2025, at the Embassy of Japan.
Professor Battulga has been engaged in teaching and research at NUM since 1994, specializing in Japanese studies, cultural anthropology, and international relations, and has been a professor since 2008.
He has fostered academic collaboration with Japanese universities and research institutions, expanding scholarly exchanges, and recently conducted joint research with Japanese organizations on disaster prevention and measures against climate change. He has also contributed to Mongolia’s development through policy recommendations from an academic perspective and delivered lectures on Japan’s modernization and the history of its foreign development cooperation, further strengthening bilateral academic ties, mutual understanding, and friendly relations between Mongolia and Japan.
