Buryat State University Launches Center for Mongolian Language and Culture

Ulaanbaatar, July 8, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A Center for Mongolian Language and Culture was officially opened at Buryat State University in the Republic of Buryatia, the Russian Federation.
The
center is designed as a comprehensive educational and research environment for
students and scholars from Buryatia and other countries interested in studying
the Mongolian language and culture. The center will regularly offer Mongolian
language classes, conduct standardized proficiency assessments, and organize
cultural events and training programs.
The
National University of Mongolia will provide the center with textbooks and
manuals on Mongolian language and culture, and assign professional teachers and
researchers. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of Mongolian language
education in Buryatia, standardize curricula, and align it with international
standards.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Education Naranbayar Purevsuren, Russian Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education K.I. Mogilevsky, Head of the Republic of Buryatia A.S. Tsydenov, NUM Rector Professor Ochirkhuyag Bayanjargal, Rector and faculty of Buryat State University, government officials, and students from the two countries, reported the Ministry of Education of Mongolia.
